Prescot Cables 2 Bamber Bridge 2

BAMBER Bridge were denied a snatch and grab operation of all three points thanks to Ashley Ruane’s last-gasp equaliser.

Prescot Cables were quick out of the starting blocks when Ruane opened the scoring early in the game.

Brig battled to get back in the game with chances for Darren Green, Leon McLaughlin and Green but they did not go in for the visitors.

The visitors were given an opening when Chris Marlow was tripped in the box then Danny Mahoney despatched the spot kick with ease.

The midfielder headed Brig in front in the dying minutes to look as if Neil Crowe’s side had picked up all three points but Ruane broke their hearts.
