SKELMERSDALE United showed why they will be one of the favourites for promotion by picking up three points on the road against Neil Crowe’s side.
Tommy Lawson’s side remain unbeaten in the division so far this season as Bamber Bridge picked up their first home league win the previous week against Ossett Albion.
Louis Corrigan bagged his first goal just before half-time when he scored in the 37th minute.
He followed it up in the second period when his effort ripped the back of the net in the 71st minute.
The result saw Brig slip down two places in the division in 16th spot.
Earlier in the week, Bamber Bridge’s match in the Lancashire FA Trophy game against West Didsbury and Chorlton was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and it was expected to be played last night (Tuesday).
