Bamber Bridge put the midweek cup loss against AFC Fylde well and truly behind them defeating Kendal.

Goals from new signing Alex Taylor, Kendal old boy Zach Clark and Chris Marlow sealed a Brig victory.

Kendal piled early pressure on from the kick off.

After five mins Brig found their feet and began to play on a difficult, boggy surface.

Ally Waddecar burst through after 15 mins, latching on to Tom Williams through ball only to be brought down outside the area.

Kendal took the lead in the 19th minute as Dan Mitchley fired in a shot from the bottom corner.

Brig responded well and new signing Taylor tapped the ball home in the box.

Just after the hour mark Brig took the lead as Clark scored from close range.

Into the second half and Brig kept the ball well and played intricately on the muddy pitch, skipper Kay was exceptional and controlled the midfield, winning the duel against Warren Beattie.

With nine minutes left on the clock, Kendal found an equaliser as Richie Mercer scrambled the ball home from a free-kick.

But not to be denied the victory, Brig surged forward and with five minutes remaining saw Marlow convert a cross from the right wing to send the travelling Brig fans wild and seal a vital three points in the search for promotion.
