Leyland face some tough decisions

Leyland face some tough selection decisions ahead of their crucial game at Blackpool on Saturday.

The Fox Lane outfit remain 32 points clear at the top of the Northern League after they beat Morecambe at the weekend by seven wickets.

Captain David Makinson missed the game because he was away in Malta but he's back to take over the reins from pro Brett Pelser.

Teenage batsman Henry Thompson is also set to be available after a long spell on the sidelines.

Tom Foster returned to second team action last week after a broken finger and scored 73 while a number of 1st team batsmen have found form.

South African Pelser, who took four wickets on Saturday, said it was good position to be in at the business end of the season.

"Everyone is fit and raring to go," he said. "We should have a full squad to choose from.

"The worst part is having to wait all week for Saturday to come."
