Leyland Warriors recorded a superb top-of-the-table 30-10 victory over Merseyside rivals Eccleston Lions.
Leyland opened the scoring after a dummy and scoot saw Cox score from close range and add the conversion before an error saw the visitors crash over from close range.
But Warriors took the upper hand when Lorenzen used his pace and power to score a quick brace before the break for a 14-4 half-time lead.
A resurgent Lions pulled it back to 14-10 after the break before Warriors wrestle control of the game back.
Steven Wright crossed for two tries, with Robinson adding one conversion.
Then late on, MacFarlane scooped up a loose pass and raced over from 40 metres out, with Robinson adding the extras.
Warriors Under-18s played out a thrilling game at home to Westhoughton, with the lead changing hands several times before the visitors triumphed 36-34.
The scores were locked at 18-18 at the break after tries from Kershaw, Jones, Wilkins and Donald for Warriors.
In the second half, tries from Clegg, Langtree and Wilkins gave Warriors the lead but Westhoughton managed to sneak in front just before the end.
The Under-14s recorded a most satisfying 30-22 win at Wigan St Cuthbert’s.
Leyland’s tries were scored by Sumner, Stansfield, Wilkins, Ryan, Tattersall and Buchanan.
Another thriller saw the Under-11s just edged out at the death by hosts Cadishead Rhinos 32-30.
Warriors fell behind 10-0 before a try by Watson began a recovery.
There were to be further scores from Hill (2), Cooper and Watson again but in the dying seconds, Rhinos went over and held their nerve to win the game with the resulting conversion.
The Under-10s won 30-22 at Langworthy Reds after a sloppy start which saw the Salford side score the first three tries of the game.
Rimmer scored out wide with the try of the game, and Kenyon soon followed him over to end the half.
After the break, there were tries from Rimmer and two from star man Cockcroft.
