The Northern Kite Group and Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust have joined forces to present what promises to be a spectacular display of kite flying.
Unlike the average kite, the specimens that will be taking to the skies are real giants rather than those that the average person would be flying in their local park.
Visitors to the tower can see the display on the Tilting Greens and, weather permitting, there will be extra demonstrations in the walled gardens of some of the smaller kites.
Admission to the event, which begins at 10am on Sunday, is £3 per person, with under fives free.
Check the website before setting off as this event is weather dependent. The house and tea room will also be open.
