It’s not everyday that a world famous artist takes to the stage in Cumbria.

But Elton John and his band will visit the Westmorland County Showground at Crooklands on Sunday June 14, part of his European tour.

This will be the Royal favourite’s first ever performance in the Lake District.

In his five-decade career Elton John has sold more than 300million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world.

Christine Knipe, chief executive of Westmorland County Agricultural Society Ltd, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been selected as a venue for Elton John’s European Tour.”

Tickets range from £44.50-£88.50, from www.ticketmaster.co.uk
