The Urban Folk Quartet will play New Longton Village Hall on May 2.
Joe Broughton, Paloma Trigás, Tom Chapman and Dan Walsh are four highly accomplished musicians, a dozen instruments and four voices coming together to craft a knockout show of globally–influenced, electrifying acoustic music that has been taking the international folk scene by storm.
The UFQ’s trail has blazed across ten countries since they formed in 2009, and they have been igniting audiences with a high octane, genre-bending take on folk ever since. 2014 brings new direction as founder member Frank Moon steps out of touring life, passing the torch to banjo virtuoso, singer and guitarist Dan Walsh for what is looking set to be easily the band’s most adventurous year so far.
