Blackpool singer songwriter Karima Francis makes a special appearance at a new open mic night at Preston Continental this Thursday.
The rising singer, who signed to Epic last year after making her first record, The Author on Kitchenware Records, home to Editors, in 2008, the same year she was tipped by The Observer as One to Watch.
Her second, The Remedy, which came out in August last year, is already causing a critical storm.
She is coming to play at the South Meadow Lane pub’s new Snug Open Mic night, launched by her guitarist, Preston musician Matt Gallagher.
Matt also plays in Victorian Dad and their frontman David Rybka, also stars, along with Preston artist FirstnameFrank. Doors open at 9pm.
