Experience the music of classic 1960s US duo, The Carpenters, as a postponed show finally makes it to Lancaster Grand Theatre this weekend.
Voice of the Heart, which arrives at the St Leonardsgate theatre this Sunday, features singer Carole Gordon in a two-hour tribute to the music of the world famous brother and sister act.
Drawing from their amazing back catalogue of hits like Top of the World, Mr Postman, This Masquerade and Jambalay, Carole and her Blue Jeans Band faithfully recreate their sound.
Carole and her partner Bob Newman were behind the hugely popular hit musical, Forever In Blue Jeans, and were voted top British duo by the British Music Association, also representing Great Britain in Nashville, Tennessee.
The show was originally scheduled to appear at the theatre on Sunday April 28 this year but had to be postponed after the show ran into production problems.
Tickets purchased for that show have already been refunded or reissued for the new date.
Since the tragic death of singer Karen Carpenter from heart failure linked to her anorexia nervosa, there is no better way for fans to experience their music live.
Tickets are still available from the Grand’s box office on 01254 64695 or online www.lancastergrand.co.uk
