Next week will see the UK premiere at the Opera House in Manchester, of the star-studded new musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels – before it reaches the West End.
It is directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winning Jerry Mitchell, and stars Robert Lindsay, Rufus Hound, Katherine Kingsley, Samantha Bond and John Marquez.
The show is based on the 1988 film, starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, and has been reconceived for the UK stage.
Sophisticated conman Lawrence Jameson is set to come crashing down with the arrival of larger-than-life Freddy Benson – a conman of an entirely different order.
The two find themselves going head to head in the con of their lives, in a bid for the affections of millionaire soap heiress Christine Colgate.
Tony and BAFTA award-winning Lindsay and Rufus Hound are the conmen while Christine Colgate is played by Katherine Kingsley.
Samantha Bond will play Muriel Eubanks, a glamorous divorcee looking for love in Beaumont-sur-Mer on the French Riviera
The show runs from February 12-22.
