Family fun was the aim of the day when Chorley Community Housing hosted a packed event during half-term.

More than 400 people turned out to enjoy the wide range of events and activities at the community fun day on Buttermere Green on the Chorley Moor estate.

Neighbourhood development officer, Chris Richardson said: “We had an amazing turnout to what was a fantastic day for Chorley residents.”

“There was a number of organisations in attendance so people were able to get help and advice from a range of different sources.

“However, the main aim of the day was to provide fun and entertainment for all so we made sure that there was plenty on offer.”

CCH Regional Manager, Mike Murphy said “This was amazing event which was organised by CCH in close partnership with the Community Church. Praise has to go to everyone who was involved for all of the hard work they put in to making the day a huge success.”

The fun day was organised by Chorley Community Housing (CCH) in partnership with the Community Church in Chorley and with assistance from Chorley Council. It was opened by the Mayor of Chorley Coun Pat Case and a range of organisations were in attendance, with stalls ranging from advice and information to wild and exotic animal petting, as well as bouncy castles, a climbing wall, an army assault course and sports activities.

There was also face painting, nail art, rocket building and a DJ from Chorley FM.
