An explosion of culture and creativity welcomed in the Chinese New Year in Leyland.
The Year of the Rabbit bounced in with numerous family activities in Worden Park on Sunday.
The day started with a series of free art workshops where children of all ages painted paper lanterns, made lucky money envelopes, created clay rabbits and made tea light holders.
Traditional lion dancers then performed and a delicious banquet was served out by Wonderland Chinese restaurant.
The day, which was jointly funded by South Ribble Borough Council and South Ribble Partnership, was then rounded off with a lantern lighting ceremony.
Elsewhere, staff and students at Runshaw Adult College celebrated the event by serving traditional food and producing Chinese displays and lanterns.
