Vandals have scrawled obscene graffiti in a children’s play park in South Ribble.
Yobs targeted Withy Grove Park in Bamber Bridge, daubing about 20 crude images on the equipment and play area.
Council workers were sent out to remove the graffiti, and Bamber Bridge East Coun Dave Watts said: “It’s an ongoing problem we have.
“It’s sad it’s happening.
“I don’t know what the suggested (solution) is.”
Issues of vandalism in South Ribble Parks were also discussed at a recent full council meeting, following a spate of attacks over the last few months.
Up to £30,000 of damage was caused to part of Farington Park in Leyland in March.
Part of a newly-laid safety surface was ripped up and set alight in the attack, destroying a new piece of equipment that had only just been installed as part of the £130,000 improvement scheme.
Residents were so upset, they put up a £200 reward to catch the culprits.
Equipment was also damaged at Bent Lane in Leyland when arsonists set light to a £10,000 Mayflower play boat.
Yobs have also previously damaged bollards and a visitor maze in Worden Park in Leyland.
