Caring bank staff at Chorley Building Society are banking up dates in the calendar for a series of fundraising events in support of their charity of the year St Catherine’s Hospice.
The team will hold a charitable event every month, from raffles to book sales and everything in between, to raise funds for the hospice in Lostock Hall
The Society currently has an affinity partnership with St Catherine’s Hospice and this month staff from the marketing team visited the hospice to present a cheque for £21,506.74
Zoe Patterson, Marketing Manager for Chorley Building Society said: “Our St Catherine’s Hospice affinity partnership is very popular with our members.
“The partnership has helped raise an amazing amount and shows how easy it can be to make a difference in the local community.
“We would like to thank our members for their continued support as they have helped raise outstanding amounts for some well-deserved causes.”
Susan Clemson, director of finance and technical services at St Catherine’s Hospice, added: “We’re incredibly grateful for Chorley Building Society’s support. “The generous donation of more than £21,000 from our affinity partnership in the last year is just incredible.
“The donation will help us continue to provide our specialist palliative and end-of-life care for local people, whilst supporting their loved ones through a range of family support services.
“Specifically, we intend to use this money towards improving our patient facilities, which will benefit our patients, medical staff and visitors.”
