Appeal for hero to open Asda

A supermarket giant is looking for a local superhero to open its new Chorley store.

The Netto store on Water Street will be close on Saturday, September 3 and be turned into Asda at a cost of £500,000.

Now the company is looking for a very special person to open it on September 19.

Asda area manager Amanda Fleming said: “We work hard to be a good neighbour and we know that many of our customers are tireless in their efforts to support the community. That is why we want to celebrate their work and make sure that a real local superhero opens the store.”

The winner will enjoy a £50 gift card and will officially open the Chorley Ringway store.

The new Asda supermarket will join the 66 Netto stores which have already been converted since May 2011.

Asda already as a base in Clayton Green and hads planning permission to build a new superstore on the site of QS Fashions.
