A historic former bank building on the outskirts of Chorley has had new life breathed into it following the launch of a financial advice business which has created three jobs.
Banks Wealth, has opened its doors in Brinscall, and will advise a wide range of individuals and business owners on services including financial planning, savings, pensions, investment portfolios and specialist insurance cover, such as shareholder protection.
The business has been founded by Chartered Financial Planner Steve Danson and already employs four people with further expansion plans over the next six months.
Steve has purchased the former Williams and Glyn’s Bank building in the town’s Railway Road and has fully refurbished and modernised the premises with four of its rooms ready to sublet to other businesses, helping to create a new business hub in the area.
A Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, Steve has 22 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has been a business owner and financial planner for 12 years.
Steve said: “I believe my experience running a business, as well as advising a diverse range of individuals on all manner of financial issues, means we are ideally placed to bring a fresh and dynamic approach to looking after people’s interests.
“The bedrock of our business is a commitment to sit down with people and get to know them as rounded individuals to really understand their financial aims. This way we are better able to advise them on how to make their resources work harder, faster and smarter.”
Among people who can benefit from Banks Wealth are business owners looking to take advantage of employee benefits, tax breaks and business protection cover, and investors who want to be sure they are getting the best from their savings and investments.
The business also advises people who have retired, or are planning retirement, and worker-savers who want to maximise returns from their savings and pensions.
Banks Wealth has already achieved Chartered status, meaning it has highest level of demands in terms of qualifications, professionalism, ethics and ongoing training.
