A Chorley hairdresser is proving that running a business is child’s play as she looks to open her second salon in a new nursery.
Danielle Gray, owner of Foster and Gray, in Wheelton, is teaming up with the owners of the Hub @ Buckshaw Village to launch her new venture.
The building, next to Buckshaw Village Community Centre, is unique in that it will house a nursery, swimming pool, cafe and hairdressers.
The mum-of-one of has now launched a recruitment drive to find experienced stylists for her second salon and is looking forward to expanding her successful business.
She said: “This is a brilliant opportunity and I’m really looking forward to the opening of the new salon.
“It will be very modern and we will also have Little Big Heads - a children’s salon where there will be games consoles and televisions to keep them entertained whilst they have their hair cut.
“It really will be cutting edge and I’m also in the process of applying for a drinks licence so our customers can enjoy a glass of wine whilst they have their hair done.
“It had always been my big ambition to expand Foster and Gray and I’m looking forward to working across both the salons.”
Danielle is looking to recruit two experienced stylists, qualified at NVQ level two and above, and an apprentice.
She added: “I’m very lucky to have incredibly loyal customers who have been with me right from the start.
“They have seen me get married, have my son Kian and now go on to open a second salon and they’re excited for me.
“The new salon won’t impact on them as they’ll still get exactly the same high level of service at Wheelton and that will be carried through to The Hub.”
