Camelot thieves use a milk float

Thieves used a battery-powered milk float to transport tools stolen from a theme park.

Chorley Police have appealed for witnesses after £4,000 of equipment was stolen from Camelot, in Charnock Richard.

The thieves, who struck between 1pm on October 7 and 7am on October 8, broke into a garage on the site.

They then loaded their loot of power tools, a power wash and laptop on to the back of the Merlin milk float before making their way back to the main car park.

Sgt Kevin Mountain, of Chorley Neighbourhood Police, said: “The thieves had used the milk float to drive back across the theme park and they also stole CCTV cameras. They then escaped.”
