Here is a summary of cases heard at Chorley and Preston magistrates courts.
Robin Alexander Cox, 38, of Babylon Lane, Adlington, was fined £176 by Chorley magistrates for driving at a speed exceeding the 30mph legal limit.
He also had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. His licence was endorsed with three points.
The offence happened in Chorley Road, Heath Charnock, on September 11.
Tomas Ploch, 40, of Pilgrim Drive, Chorley, was fined £657 by Chorley magistrates for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He also had to pay £65 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. His record was endorsed with six points.
The offence happened on August 19.
Matthew John Snape, 32, of Tootell Street, Chorley, was given a community order with a rehabilitation requirement for possessing drugs (amphetamines) when he appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court.
He was also charged with have equipment to steal a car. He had to pay £85 victim surcharge.
The offence happened on May 3.
Ian Mark McFayden, 48, of Crosse Hall, Chorley, was given a conditional discharge by Preston magistrates for six months for stealing a vaccuum cleaner and sound bar.
He stole both items, worth £59.99 and £39.99 respectively, from B& M Bargains on March 13 and March 16.
He also had to pay £20 compensation and £20 victim surcharge.
Louis Dominic Abram, 27, of Hillside Crescent, Whittle-le-Woods, was given a six month conditional discharge by Preston magistrates for possessing cannabis. He also had to pay £20 victim surcharge.
The offence happened on March 24.
