Pupils at Leyland St Mary’s Catholic Technology College were dismissed after a power cut.

A large proportion of the school was severely damaged by fire just over a year ago and is currently being rebuilt.

Some pupils are being housed in portable units and the school is operating as normal while the construction is going on.

A major power cut meant parents were asked to collect their children from school, however, power was restored later in the afternoon and school is expected to operate as normal tomorrow.
