Parents trying to find out which secondary school their children have got into were left in Limbo this morning.

A spokesman for the education authority said engineers were “working hard” to get the site up and running again and added that “everyone should get an email today”.

Parents will receive details about who to contact for advice and information on school admissions and appeals in the offer letter or email they receive.

Appeals are heard locally and those for Lancashire secondary schools will take place during May and June.
