Flooding on the train tracks in and around Preston has seen services being cancelled and delayed.

Water on the tracks has seen timetables constantly changing.

The latest updates from Northern Rail include - Fewer trains are able to run between Preston, Kirkham and Wesham and some services may be cancelled or delayed. Rail replacement buses have been ordered to replace some services. Northern Rail confirmed services between the three stations won't be back to normal until at least 6pm.

Trains between Lancaster and Morecambe have also been cancelled and delayed all day due to flooding and Northern Rail suggest checking your journey before you travel.

However the disruption caused by signalling problems between Preston and Chorley has now ended and services are no longer affected.

Other services may be affected later today and Northern Rail suggests checking all timetables before travelling.
