Chorley actor Ken Morley has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

A Channel 5 spokesman said: “Ken Morley has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house for using unacceptable and offensive language following his formal warning.”

Best known for his role as Reg Holdsworth on Coronation Street, he had already received a formal warning from Big Brother for using “unacceptable language” towards American singer Alexander O’Neal.

Ken had been nominated for eviction, alongside Alexander O’Neal and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s body double Chloe Goodman.

Voting was taking place ahead of an eviction scheduled for tomorrow, which has now been cancelled.

The spokesman added: “Tuesday’s eviction is now cancelled and lines are now closed. Anyone who has already voted will be able to apply for a full refund and details will be available on the Big Brother website within 24 hours.”
