The funeral for Leyland dad Danny Woods is set to take place this week.
The devastated family of the 23-year-old, who was found dead in land off Schleswig Way, Leyland, on June 30, have paid tribute to the former Worden Sports College pupil in a funeral announcement.
His mum Karen and brothers Lee and Josh wrote: “With goodbyes left unspoken, In our hearts you will always stay, Loved and remembered every day.”
Daniel, who is dad to two-year-old Keeley, went missing from his home in Northbrook Road on June 25, and was found after a huge police hunt in the town five days later.
They are not treating his death as suspicious.
His funeral service and committal will be at Charnock Richard Crematorium on Wednesday, July 10, at 11am.
The Leyland community is still in shock following the tragic news, and people have continued to leave emotional messages on social networking site Facebook.
Carolyn Wilson said: “Heartbreaking news for his friends, family and the community of Leyland.
“Another young father taken far too soon. May he rest in peace.”
Leyland resident Diane Nixon added:“I have shed a tear for him and especially his mum and family. So sad to hear this news.
“I’m sure all of us Leylanders were hoping for his safe return.”
Channing Hardwick wrote: “Another life taken too soon. Whole life ahead of him. What is wrong with the world these days?”
