Garages targeted in burglary spate

Two garages were targeted by yobs who stole hundreds of pounds worth of property in Moss Side.

In the first incident, on Nookfield, thieves entered a garage by a door which was left unlocked and took a black mountain bike, four bottles of wine, and four camping chairs, worth in total around £300.

In the second incident, on Middlefield, a garage which was being used as an office was targeted between 11.45pm on August 17 and 4.30am on August 18 when yobs forced open the garage door and stole a black leather wallet, three bank cards, some personal information and a Nokia mobile phone.

It is thought they only left when they were disturbed by the owner of the property.

Police say it is unclear whether the two incidents are connected. Anyone with information is asked to contact 0845 1253545.
