Community groups in South Ribble are being urged to apply for money to help their activities.
Almost £16,000 from Lancashire County Council’s Local Initiative Fund is still available for groups to apply for, with almost £6,275 allocated for schemes in South Ribble.
County Councillor David Borrow, deputy leader of LCC said: “We’re proud to support the voluntary, community and faith sector in delivering key services to our local communities. Funding has already been given to groups in other districts, but we’ve still got some money left in these two areas of Lancashire.
“We want to see this money directly helping people in Lancashire and so we’re urging groups to apply.”
Organisations interested in grants can visit www.lancashire.gov.uk, and search for ‘VCFS Grants’ or call the grants team on 01772 530 818.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on November 10.
