A round-up of people from Leyland who have appeared in court this last week.

Amanda Jayne Molyneux, 41, from Dunkirk Lane, Leyland, admitted to driving faster than the 30mph speed limit in Clayton Green Road, Clayton-le-Woods. Three points were added to her licence, and she must also pay a £35 fine, £20 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.

A Leyland man has confessed to obstructing an engine or carriage using the railway at Preston. Andrew Darren Lundie, 38, from Leyland Lane, also used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, and assaulted a police officer. He must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and attend regular appointments with an officer. He was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

Shane Wright, 26, from Bannister Drive, Leyland, has been fined £200 after being caught speeding in Fox Lane, Leyland. Three points have been added to his licence after he drove faster than the 30mph limit, and he was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

A 36-year-old has been fined £600 after failing to give information to police about a driver accused of committing an offence. The case of Mark Patterson, from Great Park Drive, Leyland, was proved in his absence. Three points were added to his licence, and he must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
