Around 100 people braved the rain to take part in this Easter’s Walk of Witness in Leyland on Good Friday.
It started at St John’s Church, Leyland Lane, with a short service at 9.30am. The route went along Golden Hill and Broadfield Drive to St Mary’s Church, Broadfield Walk, where there was another short service at 10.30am followed by refreshments.
The event was organised by Churches Together in Leyland (CTL).
Margaret Dixon, chairman, said: “It was rainy part of the way, which meant instead of singing four hymns we sang two, but it wasn’t too bad.
“I think there was about 100 people, by the number of hymn sheets we gave out to everybody and some probably shared. The weather affected it and there were holidays as well, but we still got a good number of people at the event.
“It’s something all the churches can join in then go and do separate things on that day.”
