A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a car in Leyland.
The 59-year-old man suffered hip and ankle injuries from the smash two weeks ago, which were not believed to be life threatening.
But he died in Wigan Hospital on Wednesday this week following ‘complications’, police have said.
The collision took place at around 2.35pm in Leyland Way at the junction with Bow Brook Road on Thursday, November 14, between a green Suzuki motorcycle and a purple Citroen Picasso.
The driver of the Picasso, a 43-year-old woman from Leyland, was not injured in the incident.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Steve Wignall, from the Force Road Policing Unit, said: “An investigation is underway but I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this collision to contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
