A STATUE of a Leyland Motors worker is about to be unveiled at the entrance of the market.
Work on the town’s regeneration is now well underway, and the new face of Hough Lane is on track to be completed by April.
Phase two has seen a new archway erected at the entrance of the market approach, as well as some pedestrianisation of the area.
It will be officially opened on March 22.
Phase one involved the positioning of the Leyland Clock and Leyland Wheel at the roundabout near Hough Lane and Chapel Brow.
A Centurion Tank, with the slogan ‘Made in Leyland’, has also been placed at the roundabout of Flensburg Way and Penwortham Way.
