Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters?
Or in some cases in the Red Rose county it is Lancashire Police who are fielding the calls.
Dozens of spooky sightings and close encounters have been reported to officers.
Police have received 81 calls about paranormal encounters - including Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), ghosts, paranormal activity and witches and witchcraft - in the past 10 years.
Between them spaceship hunters have made 30 reports of ghost sightings, 26 UFO sightings, 23 reports of witches and witchcraft and two reports of paranormal activity.
Officers are keen to stress the figures could include hoax calls, mistaken callers, somebody with mental health issues or someone under drunk or on drugs.
Earlier this month it was reported that police were called in to check out reports of a UFO hovering over Pendle Hill.
They investigated after a man in Clitheroe phoned to say he had been watching two UFOs hovering about 3,000ft up at Pendle Hill.
And we have previously reported that police were called by a woman in Ribbleton, Preston, saying a UFO was hovering over her house, preventing her from sleeping - it was in fact the police helicopter.
In responsing to the FOI Lancashire Police said: “Please note that the figures below are based on the initial call made to police and that it is possible that the persons making these calls were later identified as having mental health issues or as being under the influence of drugs/alcohol. There will also have been occasions of hoax calls or the callers being mistaken.”
A Lancashire police spokesman added: “While this may at first glance seem amusing, some of these calls could be from people with genuine mental health issues.
“Alternatively someone could be wasting valuable police time, better spent on responding to genuine calls.”
