On your marks.

Leyland Police Station was the venue for a bike marking session. Cyclists were invited to take their bikes - and the likes of scooters and segways - along to the Lancastergate station to have them specially security marked. The event was organised by the Leyland Neighbourhood policing Team.

More than 500,000 bikes are stolen in the UK each year because they are poorly secured or not secured at all.
