Shoppers will have the chance to make this Christmas one to remember and win £10,000 if they crack Preston's ‘City Safe’.
The City Safe will be on Preston’s Flag Market on Saturday,10 December from 11am until 11.30pm, with visitors being invited to roll up and attempt to win.
The safe is locked by a six-digit code, if the correct code is successfully imputed that person wins £10,000 to make their Christmas the best…ever.
As well as the £10,000 for anybody who guesses the correct code, there will be random prizes, from city centre based businesses, handed out to entrants by the safe, across the day and night.
These include shopping vouchers, restaurant vouchers and complimentary offers from the city’s bars and clubs.
The City Safe competition has been organised by the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) and the Preston At Night website.
Mark Whittle BID Manager said of the campaign: ‘Preston has lots to offer for a great Christmas and the City Safe competition could make it even more special for one lucky winner. We’re inviting members of the public to come to Preston city centre, enter their chosen code, and be lucky enough to scoop this amazing prize.
‘The City Safe is in town for one day only; we’re urging people to hot foot it to Preston on December 10th to try their luck’.
Leigh Sweetman, chair of the city’s Preston At Night group said: ‘Preston’s an animated city throughout the year, but even more so at Christmas. We want people to come and enjoy what Preston has to offer on December 10th and hopefully walk away with a life-changing amount of money’.
