Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop following a crash in Leyland.
At about 10am on Wednesday, May 11, a Peugeot Scooter was being ridden by a woman along Towngate and turned right on the roundabout towards Hough Lane.
A white Vauxhall car, being driven by a man along School Lane, turned left on the roundabout towards Hough Lane, colliding with the scooter, and resulting in the rider being knocked off.
Police said the driver of the Vauxhall stopped momentarily to shout abuse at the rider, before driving off without leaving any details.
The rider of the scooter was left with a shoulder injury and muscle damage around her ribs.
Officers particularly want to hear from two pedestrians who stopped to come to the aid of the rider, but didn’t leave their details.
Witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting log number LC-20160513-1200, with any information.
