A classic cars club has raised more than £400 for two charities following a successful month of events.
Members of West Lancashire MG Owner club had a social gathering which they called The TC party, where they enjoyed a barbecue, treasure hunt.
The talking point of the day was the auction of cakes made by members and sold off to the highest bidder, which raised £225 for Southport Lifeboats.
Wishing to support another charity, members then enjoyed a Garage Clearance Auction during their monthly meet, in which club members cleared out their garages of surplus car spares and other bits and pieces, all donated in aid of the club’s charity fund.
There were dozens of parts displayed on the front table and club members joined in the bidding for these items. This raised £245 for Derian House children’s hospice.
