Bamber Bridge netted four goals for the fourth time this season to see off the Evo-Stik North Division One’s bottom side Ossett Albion at

This was Brig’s third match against Yorkshire opposition in the space of two weeks and the win has taken them up to second place in the table.

Matt Lawlor opened the scoring on 27 minutes with a thumping header from a corner.

A good exchange down the right between Ally Waddecar and Lennie Reid released Tom Williams into the box, but the striker pulled his shot just wide.

Brig were getting joy down the left with Chris Marlow’s tricky runs and the overlaps of Jamie Hastings.

However, the majority of the first half was contested in the middle of the park.

After an early scare in the second half, which saw the away side strike the bar, Brig began to dominate.

Chris Marlow drove his way into the box and calmly lifted the ball over the keeper to double Brig’s lead.

The next two goals were potential goal of the month contenders.

First Lennie Reid thundered a left-footed volley into the top left-hand corner from the edge of the area.

Then, not to be outdone, Waddecar struck eight minutes later with a well-executed volley of his own.

Brig now have six consecutive wins in the league and are unbeaten in 14 matches.
