Euxton Villa made it five wins on the bounce with a battling display defeating Crooklands Casuals 2-0.
Byron Andrew bagged a double either side of the break to seal the victory and lift Villa to sixth in the West Lancashire League Premier Division.
Looking to avenge the early season defeat, Villa started quickly and took the lead with just nine minutes on the clock.
Andrew gathered the ball on the left hand side, driving towards goal, unleashing a rasping shot across the keeper to give his side the advantage.
Dan Morris then crashed a volley against the bar while at the other end Crooklands could have equalised with a corner.
Morris again flicked the post with a deft header and Shaun Gibbs then tipped a free-kick over the bar.
Gibbs pulled off a brilliant save after the break denying Ben Harvey, Gibbs again pulled off a brilliant save to keep his side in the game before Rick Wood fired an effort over the bar.
Euxton then doubled their lead against the run of play, Andrew converting a Morris cross.
Euxton saw out the remaining 15 minutes with ease to hold on for the victory.
n Leyland United crushed rivals Croston Sports and remain third in Division Two.
Savagar opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Ryan Greenwood doubled the lead in the 25th minute tapping in a free-kick.
Green grabbed his second and Leyland’s third 10 minutes later coolly finishing inside the area.
Just after the hour mark, Leyland made it four as Savigar again converted from the spot after Matt Ferguson was clattered inside the area.
United saw out the remainder of the game with ease and take on CMB this Saturday in the cup-semi final.
