World silver medallist Lisa Whiteside returned to her roots by visiting Natbridge Amateur Boxing Club.
The club, located in Kings Court, Leyland, welcomed Whiteside as she took time out of her busy schedule to pass on some top tips for young budding boxers.
Flyweight Lisa, who won a silver medal in November at the World Boxing Championships in South Korea, first attended the gym in 2006 under the watchful eyes of experienced coaches Martin Benson, Alan Hemmings and Jonny Hopkins.
After first attending the club as a novice, Lisa went on to be a Amateur Boxing Association finalist in 2008 and she first became an ABA champion in 2009.
A spokesperson from the club said: “Lisa came back to support the club and show what can be achieved with us if you train hard and dedicate yourself.
“I am sure she will be an inspiration to all at our club.”
The club hosts a range of classes for all ages, if you want to join call the club on 01772 622994.
