Neil Crowe will ring the changes for Bamber Bridge’s Doodson Cup fixture against New Mills.
Several Brig players are nursing knocks and Crowe feels tonight’s, Tuesday, fixture is a perfect time to rest some of his key men with one eye on Saturday’s FA Cup third qualifying round trip to Kettering Town.
The Brig chief has indicated that several squad players will get valuable minutes on the pitch.
Brig and New Mills have already locked horns once this season, Crowe’s men running out 7-0 winners in Derbyshire.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s game at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, the Brig boss said: “I will be making a few changes.
“Some of the lads will get minutes on the pitch.
“It’s a game I don’t want to lose to be honest.
“We were poor on Saturday and I want us to get back to winning ways ahead of
“We need to be professional
about it and what we can’t do is under estimate New Mills.”
Crowe was in a confident mood speaking about Saturday’s cup tie.
Not only is a fourth-qualifying round place at stake, but the winners will also receive £7,500 in prize money.
Brig have already banked £9,425 in winnings and Crowe admits a win on Saturday’s would be a huge boost for the club.
“I don’t know a lot about Kettering, but we’ll do our homework ahead of the game,” he added.
“Financially it’s a massive earner and in these ties we seem to raise our game.”
