Bamber Bridge’s impressive Evo-Stik Division One North form continued as they made light work of struggling Prescot Cables.
Despite falling behind to a 17th-minute James Jenkins strike, Neil Crowe’s side rallied scoring three goals in 18 minutes.
Utility man Danny Mahoney equalised before the impressive Stu Vasey scored twice.
Brig continued to dominate and the game was put to bed on the hour as Curtis Thompson found the net.
A cold breeze ran across Valerie Park as the home side started the stronger.
Lee Dovey was at ease saving two shots early on but he was beaten in the 17th minute by Jenkins.
The lead was shortlived, however, as Mahoney headed in at the back post three minutes later.
On the half hour, Vasey latched on to a throughball to beat goalkeeper Ben Morrow from 25 yards.
And eight minutes later, Vasey stunned the spectators with a superb 30-yard looping strike which left Morrow flat on his back.
But prior to the goal, Vasey had been involved in an off-the-ball scuffle with Prescot’s Liam Hollett, which didn’t endear him to the home crowd.
Brig dominated the second half and Vasey turned provider on the hour when his shot from a Kieron Pickup cross was saved but the rebound fell to Thompson, who was left with an easy finish.
