Many hands make light work to prepare club for new season

Leyland Cricket Club will be holding their annual ‘Cricket Force’ weekend at the Fox Lane ground from April 8-10.

NatWest Cricket Force is an ECB initiative aimed at rejuvenating the nation’s cricketing facilities.

Cricket Force encourages members, juniors, supporters, friends and family to give something back to their local community cricket club by volunteering to undertake renovation projects to clubhouses and grounds before the start of the cricket season.

Working parties are organised for general areas such as painting the perimeter fences and sight screens, tidying and weeding the ground, repairing and painting the benches, cleaning and repairing the Pavilion, plus many more specific tasks!

Officials at Leyland Cricket Club say they need as many hands as possible to help during the weekend.

Food and refreshments will be provided to keep the volunteers going.

The clean-up starts at 10am on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
