Come down to Lancaster Castle this weekend, which marks the 401st anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trials, and learn the history behind the local tale.
A free event will be hosted on today (August 16) which has been developed by various organisations to give the opportunity to reflect the journey and fate of the Lancashire Witches.
There will be performances of poetry, prose and music in the castle, highlighting the stories of the victims of ‘witchcraft’ persecution.
Over Saturday and Sunday there will be a number of family-friendly events and activities inside and around the castle, including Broomstick racing, witchcraft work shops and street theatre.
Tickets for the events on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 will run from 10am to 5pm and have a £1 admission charge.
