A fantastic opportunity awaits young dancers wanting to find out if they have what it takes to pursue a career in dance – at Ludus Dance and run by The Lowry.
Grants are available which widens access considerably across Lancashire.
On Sunday, May 22, there’s a free open day at Ludus Dance, when aspiring dancers aged between 11 and 16 can explore a professional career in dance through The Lowry Centre for Advanced Training in Dance (CAT).
The open day will prepare dancers for an audition for places on the course, at The Lowry on Sunday June 12.
The programme has a great track record; graduates have gone to study at major UK conservatories including: Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance; Central School of Ballet; and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
It’s part of a national programme funded by the Department of Education - which is also the lever for the grants available.
As well as the open day other workshops will be held at The Lowry. Further information can be found at www.northwestdance.org.uk/Learn. Or call the office 0843 208 6000
