Audiences will enjoy a family-fun pantomime in Leyland this week, courtesy of the St Ambrose Players.
The amateur dramatics group has chosen the classic fairytale, Cinderella, this year.
Member Sarah White said: “Since the early 1980s, members have always looked forward to panto time and all the fun that goes with the festive season,
“This year we are delighted to have two dames for the price of one, as our two resident dames, Matt Clark and Dave White, take on the roles of the Ugly Stepsisters and thoroughly enjoy themselves in the process.
“They are joined by a colourful cast of characters to add to the panto spirit including seasoned pantomimers Siobhan Edge as the Wicked Stepmother and Pauline Todd as Dandini.”
She added: “Panto time is always a great opportunity for the society to give younger members a chance to shine, and we are delighted that 16-year-old Hannah Heaton will be playing her first leading role as Cinderella.
“Hannah has quite literally grown up on our stage and she makes a fantastic Cinderella whom I’m sure all the children will really love.”
The show runs from Tuesday to Saturday with a matinee on Saturday in addition to the evening show.
Tickets are available from Grandad Jim’s Traditional Sweet Shoppe in Chapel Brow, Leyland, priced at £7.50 for adults, £5.50 for OAPs and £5 for children.
