People are invited to join the Houghton Weavers for a Christmas-themed show full of their trademark songs and stories that keep folk smiling.

The band is one of the UK’s leading entertainers weaving together popular folk songs, humour and audience participation.

The group – comprising Tony Berry, David Littler and Steve Millington – in their four decades together have recorded more than 30 albums, and have seven of their own BBC television series plus six BBC Radio 2 series to their name.

This year marks a very special year for the band as they celebrate 40 years together with a landmark tour throughout the land, and which – in addition to their ‘Keep Folk Smiling’ motto – is expected to include some surprises along the way!

They are bringing their Christmas Show to Chorley Little Theatre on Sunday, December 27, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £13 from Malcolm’s Musicland in Chapel Street, or by calling 01257 264362.
