Thriller – Live, a show in its fifth year in London’s West End returns to Manchester Opera House from Monday to Saturday.
It brings to life the music and dancing of Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 and stars Cleo Higgins, former lead singer of Cleopatra and star of The Voice 2013, and the X Factor’s Rachel Adedeji.
The production blends video footage and effects with choreography by the show’s award-winning director Gary Lloyd.
The show includes more than two-hours of non-stop hit songs including smash hits I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, They Don’t care About Us and Thriller.
The singer died on June 25, 2009 aged 50 when Thriller Live was at the Opera House. At that night’s performance a minute’s silence was held, the lights dimmed and a book of condolence was also opened. A year after his death, a permanent West End memorial to Michael was unveiled in the foyer of the Lyric Theatre.
