The local music promoters behind Musicians Against Homelessness are hoping to follow on the success with their new Christmas campaign.
Jon Bamborough and Brian Reddington helped to raise thousands of pounds for homeless charity Crisis earlier this year, with a number of fundraising gigs along the Fylde coast.
The organisation’s patron, former Oasis boss Alan McGee, has enlisted the help of Shaun Ryder, John Power, Liam Gallagher, Lily Allen, Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell and many more to help promote the Christmas text campaign.
“£22.32 will reserve a place for a homeless person at Crisis at Christmas, £10 will buy a duvet so every text will make a massive difference,” said Jon Bamborough, who also organises the Blackpool Music Festival which helps raise funds and awareness for local homeless charity Streetlife.
“We will be producing and distributing thousands of leaflets to all the live music venues across the Fylde coast in December and hope the generous gig goers will support the text campaign.”
Brian Reddington added: “So many of us could only be a couple of pay packets away from homelessness - please dig deep this Christmas and help make a difference.”
If you’d like to donate, text MAH to 70004 to send £3 to Crisis.
