Here's a small selection of events happening in Chorley and South Ribble over the next week:

Obsession (NT Live), Chorley, Thursday, May 11

Chorley Little Theatre will be broadcasting Obsession, live from the Barbican Theatre in London. Jude Law stars and Ivo van Hove directs this new stage adaptation of Luchino Visconti’s 1943 film.​​ The show starts at 7pm and tickets are £12 and £10. Chorley Handmade Market, Chorley, Saturday, May 13

There will be over 30 talented makers and food producers selling their wares from 11am until 4pm in The Lancastrian at Chorley Town Hall. Entry into the market is free.

Health Walk - Worden Park, Leyland, Thursday, May 11

A gentle walk to help you get fit and stay fit. All walks are free and last about an hour. The distance covered is no more than 2.5 miles. Meet at 1pm at the noticeboard at the park end of the car park.

Dawn Walk - Longton Brickcroft, Longton, Monday, May 15

Meet at the Visitor Centre at 5am for a gentle walk around the reserve listening and identifying bird song, followed by tea and toast. Take binoculars if you have them. £2 per person on the day.

Stuart Takeover Day, Hoghton, Sunday, May 14

This family friendly event at Hoghton Tower is part of their celebrations of the 400th anniversary of the visit of King James 1st to Hoghton Tower in 1617. There will be a wealth of activities on offer. From 10am.
