Live family theatre in the open air has returned to Leyland’s popular Worden Park.
Pendle Productions have again teamed up with South Ribble Borough Council to bring a six-week summer season of shows to the park, guaranteed to entertain all ages.
Starting with the irresistible family favorite Alice in Wonderland yesterday, families took the opportunity to experience all the magic of Lewis Carols timeless classic, featuring , of course, Alice, the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit and a host of other musical characters.
Following that on 30 July 30 is the fantastic new production of Peter Rabbit and Friends, with spectacular costumes and set.
This musical production is sure to captivate as we tell the stories of Peter, Benjamin Bunny, the Two Bad Mice and Mrs Tiggywinkle.
With the classic tale of The Secret Garden on August 6, Jack and the Beanstalk on August 13, Pinocchio on August 20 and Wind In The Willows finishing the season in swashbuckling style on August 27, there is something this year for everyone.
Tickets are priced to make it affordable for families to attend with a group/family ticket (admitting three people) priced at £15 (individual tickets can be bought at £7.50 each) and season tickets offering an even greater reduction for those visiting each show in the season.
Families are also encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic to eat while they are watching the show.
Marquees are available for shade or in the event of unseasonal weather and performances will continue regardless.
Tickets are available from www.summertheatretickets.co.uk or 0800 788 0526
Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the performance (subject to availability) from the Orange Box office tent next to the performance space.
All Performances take place in the Gardens opposite the miniature railway and craft centre.
